Flying above Lake Eyre in South Australia, the door of the plane open as I leant against the seat belt hoping it wouldn’t give way. My eyes scanned the salt below looking for colour and meaning. I needed to see beneath the salt to look for colours and shapes. I was looking for what I could bring out later once the plane touched down.
This is one of those images where the Lake gave up its secrets and I had the privilege of capturing the Symbols in the Salt that lay beneath. Such an amazing landscape, ancient and even timeless. I was honoured to be able to experience what not many people ever will
