I attended one of Glenn’s DSLR beginner course and it really helped me stop and think about the picture I’m taking and how to take it properly ,what setting to use and really guide me through my camera. Glenn is a chilled easy going guy with a good knowledge and will answer all questions and help you through out the course …would totally recommend the course and Glenn to any budding photographer who wants to know how to start taking the best picture possible.
Photography workshop for long exposure and light painting
- Level: advanced beginner to intermediate
- Learning goals: long exposure photography for architecture and light
- Length: four hours
Long exposure photography at night can be great fun but some photographers think it’s a bit of a black art. I’ve run numerous workshops at events like Enlighten and will show you it’s not that hard at all. The techniques for long exposure are pretty simple and throughout my workshop you will learn how to utilise various modes in your camera to capture the night environment. We’ll also have fun doing some light painting and if conditions allow some steel wool spinning!
This is the second time I have attended one of Glenn’s photography workshops (Beginners and Long Exposure). Glenn guides you through each step providing tips and tricks along the way, his ability to relate to people of all ages and abilities creates a welcoming environment. I always leave the workshops with more knowledge and a newfound confidence.

Does the idea of deep diving into your photography and being surrounded by other photographers to talk photography for a few days sound appealing to you? Workshops are made up of location visits for sunset and sunrise as well as photography post processing and lectures in between.

Glenn’s workshop was hands down the best workshop I’ve ever been to. He gives himself wholeheartedly and teaches with such knowledge and passion. He goes above and beyond to make sure that you get the most of the workshop you signed up to.
Thank you Glenn. You’re an incredible teacher. Not only have I learned so much but I feel so inspired and confident to go ahead and do things my own way.
